Izu Peninsula
The Izu Peninsula (Izu Hanto) is the diving back-garden of Tokyo — close enough for a day trip, yet lined with dozens of shore and boat sites. The warm Kuroshio brushes its eastern shore, bringing tropical strays in summer, while the quieter west coast looks out over Suruga Bay. The map shows where the best-known sites cluster.

The Izu Peninsula is Tokyo’s diving back-garden: the warm eastern shore (Atami, Ito, Futo, Hokkawa, IOP) faces the Kuroshio, while the quieter west looks over Suruga Bay. See the Izu Peninsula diving page, the East Izu sites, or the wider Izu area overview.
